This contemporary restaurant provides a quiet and beautiful atmosphere in central Century City. The staff are very friendly and helpful when it comes to what they offer and what dishes they recommend. We went to Urban Umami for restaurant week and each of the dishes we ordered was absolutely delicious. Great value for money. I did a little tour of the place and they have a cute bar area if you just want to pop by for just a drink. They even have a private area for wine tasting.
I had the most lovely evening at Urban Umami last night. The food is amazing, would highly recommend the beef ramen and the wok fried chicken! Great portion sizes, absolute value for money. Cocktails were delicious, and beautifully presented. The live music from Naledi was a treat, and added to the very comfortable and aesthetic atmosphere. Make sure to reserve a table as they get busy on weekends, reservations are easy to do online. Thanks Urban Umami, looking forward to next time
What a lovely experience. On the 23rd of June I went there with my family of 6 and we had a ball. Arthur was our waiter and did such an impressive job, so much so that I’ve made a mental-note since then to just take the time to write a review specifically for him. He was so patient with us and our endless questions and we're really grateful for that. Very helpful as we arrived just before the cocktail special ended but he made an effort to put in all our orders before the time ran out- impressive. The reason I gave the food 4 stars is because of the limited menu. I was looking for seafood pasta but Arthur explained to me that they have a sister restaurant that specialize in pasta which was then understandable. I just wish they could have a range of different or rather options of Stake, that’s what I ended up going for, I had the Sirloin which was immaculate but I just would have preferred a T-bone Stake that nightnonetheless, amazing experience and I will definitely have to call to make sure Arthur is there so help me again.
My mom and I returned for lunch this afternoon and are pleased to report that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The lunch offering differs greatly from the brunch so if torn between the two I would definitely suggest a lunch or dinner. We decided to sample and share a few dishes to get a sense of the variety and will be back to try out some of the mains. In places of the usual bread offering, we were presented with some prawn chips served with a kimchi mayo and a ponzu sauce. A lovely crunchy & tasty treat to begin a meal. We started with some small plates, including the ribeye which was beautifully cooked. This is served with a very subtle chili- herb sauce. Some duck spring rolls and then the pork bao, which we both agree was wonderful and my favorite of the day. We followed this up with some sushi - salmon and prawn California rolls and some salmon roses, which were lovely and beautifully presented. We ended the meal with some banana bao, a huge hit with my mom, served with a vanilla ice cream and chocolate ganache. The service was great and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
The food is exceptional, the service impeccable and the atmosphere perfect. Loved the live music, and the cocktails were really good! I recommend the Sakura.
A wonderful place, lunch time or dinner. Absolutely recommend their Tapas ( have a special for 5 Tapas). Memory, our regular waitron is an absolute star. Jade, the chef, always goes the extra mile. The manager Enoch is hands on.
